St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  Three hours of Type I CE credit for psychologists are offered.  The Memphis Area Psychological Association agrees to adhere to the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.

Type II CE credit, sponsored by MAPA, is available as an alternative.

*** The cutoff for registration is 9 am on Friday, August 2 (extended from the cutoff date listed in email announcements).  All attendees must register in advance, as names of participants must be given to SJCRH Security Staff for processing onto the hospital campus.  There can be no “walk-ins.”

You will need these 3 information sheets:

1) Full program brochure:  This describes the content of the presentations, procedures for obtaining Type I or Type II credit, symposium agenda, Eventbrite registration fees, and grievance policy.

2) Infection Control Policy:  Please read carefully.  If any of the listed conditions applies to you the morning of the symposium, please do not attend.  Participants will be walking through a patient care area, and many patients have compromised immune systems.  If you are not able to attend because of sickness, your registration and continuing education fees will be refunded.

3) Map of SJCRH campus with route marked in red:  Attendees must use the entrance at Third Street and Overton; stop at the guard’s booth and show photo identification.  Park in Parking Garage 2 (the lot with a P is patient parking only); walk to the main entrance of Chili’s Care Center (marked with an X on the map). Upon entering, go to the Security Guard/Information desk in the foyer area and ask to be directed to the Auditorium in the Marlo Thomas Center.
